Consignment Agreement
Welcome! We are pleased that you want to become a part of our store. Here is how it works:
When: Consignments are accepted during regular business hours, after hours by appointment or by courier with a signed Agreement enclosed.
What: Clothes and accessories in good condition, of classic or current styles.
Condition: Freshly cleaned (laundered or dry cleaned, no stains ,visible mending or pilling), pressed and on hangers. No lingering odors like smoke or moth balls. Free of any pet hair (due to allergies). We reserve the right to consign only the undamaged part of a set or suit, if necessary.
Pricing: We'll set the selling price, based on our understanding of the original retail price and the item's desirability for resale. $1.00 per item will be charged to cover the cost of handling and ticketing. This is added in the price tag (on top of the "original price" listed on your inventory printout) and paid by the buyer. Once items are processed into the system they become the property of the store. Prices can be reduced at the stores discretion. They will be donated to a charity if they do not sell after a lengthy period.
Pick-up: Initial Items Originally Left But Not Consigned:
You must pick up items we chose not to consign within 10 days of receiving notice ( will be by e-mail or phone if e-mail not available) without any notice to us. They're already in the back with your name on them.
Payment: You'll receive 40% of the selling price (excluding buyer's fees and sales taxes). You are welcome to phone at any time to request your account balance. We will notify you of your account balance within 24 hours of your request. You are welcome to pick up any earnings under $20.00 at the store anytime. Cheques will be available to pick up the Friday following any requests made by the Wednesday (courier cheques can be mailed $3 fee). There is a $2.00 fee to process a cheque.
We pledge to do our best to safeguard your items, but we are not responsible for damage or loss (theft).
We look forward to a long and mutually profitable association with you. After all, we couldn't do it without you, our partners in consigning!
